Description
The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation was established in Cape Town in 2000, in the wake of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It works to build fair, democratic and inclusive societies in Africa after conflict. IJR runs the long-standing South African Reconciliation Barometer survey and supports transitional justice and peacebuilding initiatives across the continent.
