The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation is a Johannesburg-based non-governmental organisation founded in 1989. It works to understand and prevent violence, heal its consequences and build sustainable peace in South Africa and across the continent. Its work combines research, psychosocial services for survivors, policy advocacy and transitional justice.
