Peace Studies: the Regional Master’s Program in Peace Studies is an advanced inter-disciplinary program designed for both students and practitioners, offering an expertise in several specialized fields, including Conflict Resolution and Peace and Development.
Culture of Peace, Conflicts, Education and Human Rights: the master’s degree in Peace Culture, Conflicts and Human Rights is a conjuncted qualification offered by the Peace and Conflicts Institute of the University of Granada, the the Unesco desk of Conflicts Resolution of the University of Córdoba the Faculty of Education of the University of Malaga and the Faculty of Science of Education of the University of Cádiz, and it is the product of an agreement signed by their own universities with the aim of contributing to the knowledge and development of human rights, the principles of democracy and men-women equality, solidarity, protection of the environment, universal accessibility and promotion of peace culture.
International Peace, Conflict and Development Studies: the main goal of this master's degree is to create an international, intercultural and interdisciplinary learning community in which the peaceful transformation of conflicts is fostered by recognising, respecting and understanding diverse cultures and ways of life. Sometimes, the students – who come from different countries – have experienced wars and violent conflicts directly, and this makes the discussion richer and facilitates the search for alternatives to face unfair situations in a peaceful manner. The lecturers come from renowned universities, organisations and institutions worldwide, which contributes to providing the programme with an international and intercultural profile.
Peace and Development Programme: the Peace and Development Programme provides you with comprehensive knowledge within the areas of conflict transformation, peacebuilding, development work and international development cooperation. You also gain knowledge about the connection to human rights and security issues. By combining theory with experiences from practice abroad, you will be able to work in a wide range of organisations, both in Sweden and abroad. The language of teaching is English, and the programme offers cross-cultural perspectives and experiences.
Crisis Management and Peacebuilding: Master’s Degree Programme in Crisis Management and Peacebuilding gives you in-depth knowledge about crisis management and peacebuilding at national and international level. The main perspective is governance under uncertainty caused by crisis, disasters and conflicts. You will develop skills to analyze and manage uncertainty in light of knowledge about crisis management systems, legal norms, power relations and planning for societal reconstruction. You will get in-depth training in analysis methods and writing of scientific reports.

Conflict Analysis and Resolution: the Program on Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Sabancı University is the only Master’s program of its kind in Southeastern Europe, taking a regional lead in training a new cadre of conflict resolution specialists and peacemakers from Turkey and countries around the world. The wisdom of Anatolia refers to the cultural, customary, and political attitudes in the process of unifying the elements of this peninsula.
Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies: This programme is designed to critically examine the theoretical and methodological issues surrounding the dynamics of peace and conflict in the contemporary world. You will have the opportunity to engage with the work of peace and conflict studies scholars, at both conceptual and empirical levels, and to draw on evidence from a range of recent armed conflicts.
Peace and Development: address the global challenges of poverty and violence by linking theory and practice and make a positive difference to the lives of people around the world. This is your opportunity to develop your awareness of the relationships between peace, conflict resolution and development both nationally and internationally. You will consider issues such as gender, poverty, employment, human rights and the role of civil society and community participation in decision-making and governance. From security threats and terrorism to the arms trade and non-violent social movements, you will acquire an in-depth insight into contemporary global issues. You will study the political, economic, cultural, environmental and technological changes that influence development decisions. We place a real emphasis on international debate and your teaching will be delivered in small groups involving students from around the world, giving you access to a range of cultural perspectives to inform your learning. We will also provide you with skills in project management and you will learn how to draw up funding applications, competencies essential for working in the field.
