The Centre for Conflict Management at the University of Rwanda, created in 1999 in the aftermath of the genocide against the Tutsi, offers an MA in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation. The programme trains students in conflict analysis, reconciliation, transitional justice and peacebuilding, drawing directly on Rwanda's post-genocide experience of justice, memory and social reconstruction, and is run in collaboration with international partners including the University of Gothenburg.
