Description
The University for Peace is an international university established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 and headquartered near San José, Costa Rica. UPEACE provides postgraduate education, research and knowledge dissemination on peace and conflict studies, environmental security, international law and gender, training generations of peacebuilders from around the world under its treaty mandate to promote the spirit of understanding, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
