The National Peace Council of Sri Lanka is an independent, non-partisan organisation founded in 1995 that works towards a negotiated political solution to ethnic conflict and a rights-respecting, pluralist society. It engages in advocacy, inter-religious and inter-ethnic dialogue, peace education and community-level reconciliation work, seeking to build consensus across Sri Lanka's communities for a just and inclusive peace.
